  12.   Below is a list of TRANSMISSION files found for your unregistered copy of
  13.  
  14.                TAYLORED SOFTWARE'S VISUAL BASIC WIZARD FOR WINDOWS 3.1.

  18.  VISUAL BASIC WIZARD IS THE [PROGRAMMERS COMPAINION AND AID] FOR VISUAL BASIC

  22.       The VISUAL BASIC WIZARD installation files can be contained on one
  23.    3 1/2" 1.44 MEG program master disk. It will contain all of the necessary
  24.    files if it is properly downloaded or accessed by you. Then from and using
  25.    the following instructions you will be able to easly and simply load your
  26.    VISUAL BASIC WIZARD program.
  27.  
  28.    Now here is a listing of the necessary files for the computer system that
  29.    has MICROSOFT'S Visual Basic installed. These are the files that you should
  30.    have just received or accessed and are as follows:
  31.  
  32.     1.) VBWIZUR.ZIP  - The compressed file of all compressed program files.
  33.     2.) UZ.EXE       - The file uncompressor program.
  34.     3.) INSTALL.TXT  - This text file a copy of which is loaded to your
  35.                        C:\VB\VBWIZ\> directory during program installation.
  36.  
  37.     4.) COLOR.EXE    - An executable file used during the program installation.

  39.  THESE FILES ARE USED FOR INSTALLATION FROM YOUR A:\ DRIVE IF YOU ARE GOING
  40.  TO INSTALL THE PROGRAM FROM YOUR B:\ DRIVE DELETE THESE FILES BEFORE
  41.  EXECUTING THE STARTB.BAT FILE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DELETE THE FILES

  44.     5.) INSTALLA.EXE - The MAIN INITIALIZATION file for A: drive installation.
  45.     6.) INSTALLA.BAT - The BATCH file used by the INSTALLA program.
  46.     7.) STARTA.BAT   - The BATCH file for a drive that you use to start the
  47.                        whole install process if you are installing the
  48.                        program from your computer's A:\. This is all you
  49.                        have to enter the program will do the rest.
  50.     8.) INSTALLA.PIF - The PROGRAM INFO file used by WINDOWS program.

  52.  THESE FILES ARE USED FOR INSTALLATION FROM YOUR B:\ DRIVE IF YOU ARE GOING

  57.     9.) STARTB.BAT   - The BATCH file that you use to start the whole
  58.                        install process if you are installing the program
  59.                        from your computer's B:\. This is all you have
  60.                        to enter the program will do the rest.
  61.    10.) INSTALLB.EXE - The MAIN INITIALIZATION file for B: drive installation.
  62.    11.) INSTALLB.BAT - The BATCH file used by the INSTALLB program.
  63.    12.) INSTALLB.PIF - The PROGRAM INFO file used by WINDOWS program.

  65.  THE REST OF THE FILES CONTAINED ON THE PROGRAM DISK ARE TEXT FILES FOR YOUR
  66.  REVIEW PRIOR TO THE INITIALIZATION AND THEN THE FULL INSTALLATION OF YOUR
  67.  VISUAL BASIC WIZARD PROGRAM. PLEASE READD EACH ONE FULLY AND THE INFORMATION
  68.  ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
  69.        The main distribution file that you have downloaded is labeled as
  70.     VBWIZUR.ZIP and it contains all of the individual compressed program
  71.     files that are used by the inItallation portion of the program
  72.     including SETUP.EXE the setup file that is used by windows to install
  73.     your VISUAL BASIC WIZARD program.
  74.

  76.  HERE IS THE SIMPLE/EASY TO FOLLOW BASICS TO GET VISUAL BASIC WIZARD INSTALLED
  77.  ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  79.       In order that you may initiate the full installation of the VISUAL BASIC
  80.     WIZARD program and to initialize all of the installation files that are
  81.     contained In the transmission file VBWIZUR.ZIP and to get the program
  82.     installed the only steps required by you are as follows.
  83.  
  84.     If you are installing the program from you computer's A:>\ drive
  85.     insert the diskette into your A:>\ drive and then del all files that
  86.     are named as follows startb.bat, installb.exe, installb.bat [ NOTE
  87.     IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DELETE THESE FILES ] Then type STARTA at the
  88.     A:>\ DOS prompt or if you are installing the program from you computer's
  89.     B:>\ drive insert the diskette into your B:>\ drive and then del all
  90.     files that are named as follows starta.bat, installa.exe, installa.bat
  91.     [ NOTE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DELETE THESE FILES ] Then type
  92.     STARTB at the B:>\ DOS prompt and the program will begin loading via dos
  93.     the  windows system files required to begin the initialization mode and
  94.     then the installation mode of the program. After typing either of the
  95.     above and at the first screen just press a key or if you decide
  96.     not to install the program press CTL and BREAK at the same time to
  97.     exit the initial installation of the program. The Program will if
  98.     you press a key take over from there and when the copying of the above
  99.     files is complete will load windows and the initialization program.
  100.  
  101.     After the initialization screen is displayed by windows you will
  102.     be required to decide if you want to continue the installation. If
  103.     so click continue or if not click exit. If you click continue the
  104.     program will initialize all program files. so just sit back and wait
  105.     a few minutes. Then the programs SETUP screen will be displayed.
  106.     Click continue or exit which ever the case may be in order to complete
  107.     the full installation of your VISUAL BASIC WIZARD PROGRAM. Just a note
  108.     here if you decide not to finish the instalation just remove the diskette
  109.     after preforming the steps below and when you decide to install it
  110.     just follow the steps outlined as follows:

  114.                 NOTES FOR FUTURE PROGRAM INSTALLATION

  117.         When you do decide to install your VISUAL BASIC WIZARD program the
  118.     only steps necessary are to access windows and enter the following exact
  119.     command from the RUN menu box of the files menu of your program manager
  120.     and depending on if the floppy drive you are you are going to be installing
  121.     your VISUAL BASIC WIZARD program from your computer is a:\> or B;\> drive
  122.     as the proper case may be.

  124.                  A:\SETUP.EXE
  125.                  B:\SETUP.EXE
  126.  
  127.          The program will then be fully installed and the setup program
  128.     will then create the program group and all of the necessary program
  129.     icons that are required to fully access and run all of the programs 
  130.     contained in your full SHAREWARE UNREGISTERED copy of VISUAL BASIC WIZARD
  131.     FOR WINDOWS 3.1.

  136.            IT' S THAT SIMPLE AND EASY JUST LIKE THE PROGRAM
  137.  ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  139.    One more note I would recomend that you make a backup copy of the
  140.    program instalation files before you remove the VISUAL BASIC WIZARD
  141.    program diskette and store it. It Never hurts to have two [2] copys
  142.    of a program. See the notes that follow on preforming this.

  144.                 PROGRAM MASTER DISKETTE BACKUP PROCEDURE
  145.  ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  147.        After the program installation is complete please make a backup copy
  148.     of the program master installation disk that you have just used to
  149.     install the VISUAL BASIC WIZARD program for your protection. You may do this by
  150.     using the DOS (COPY OR DISKCOPY) command. At the DOS Prompt type this
  151.     as follows:
  152.  
  153.               A:\> copy *.* B:\>
  154.               OR  A:\> diskcopy *.* A:\> if you have a single disk drive.
  155.  
  156.               OR
  157.               B:\> copy *.* A:\>
  158.  
  159.          The program will then be fully installed and the setup program
  160.     will then create the program group and all of the necessary program
  161.     icons that are required to fully access and run all of the programs 
  162.     contained in your unregistered shareware copy of VISUAL BASIC WIZARD
  163.     FOR WINDOWS 3.1.

  169.     NOTE: DONOT be concerned near the end of the installation when the
  170.     windows 3.1 dynamic linked library system files are being written
  171.     to that directory and the floppy drive disk looks as if it is reading
  172.     but it looks as if no writing is being preformed to the hard drive.
  173.     This is nornal.when installing these type of files. The total
  174.     installation should take approximatly 6-10 min. on a 486 machine.
